Mrs. Rachel E. Proctor White Creek, Tenn. She is a granddaughter of Rev. Wilson Hearne on the maternal side and a great-granddaughter of Ebenezer and Dovey (Walker) Hearne on the paternal side.

Rev, Wilson Hearne (son of Thomas and Rachel Drewry Hearne, as shown on the family tree, near the trunk on the left-hand side) was born 1789. died Apr. 17, 1855; married Lucy Hearne 1808; children:

Miranda, married Martin Skein, and had six children: Willie, Elizabeth, Lucy, Martha, Marcus and Robert.

Second child of Wilson and Lucy Hearne, Elizabeth J., married John Shannon and had six children: Wilson, Lucy, Laura, Henrietta, John and Bettie.

Third child of Wilson and Lucy Hearne, Rachel Drewry, born about 1823[1], married Henry C. Irby [2], born about 1835, Tennessee. Presumably Rachel died before 1865. Henry C. and Rachel D. had one child. Sallie L. [3] born about 1860, presumed died before 1894.

On 12 Nov 1874, Hopkins Co., TX, Sallie L. married David L. Hopkins, born 20 Dec 1850, died 2 June 1931, buried Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, TX.

Sallie and David had one child, Bonnie Cone Hopkins [4], born 1 Aug 1875, died 1 Nov 1938. Bonnie married Horace P. Kendall, who was born 22 Dec 1871, died 9 Nov 1949, on 15 Oct 1893. Bonnie is buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas; Horace in Oklahoma City, OK.

Bonnie and Horace Kendall had two children, Willie Mae [5] and Horace LeRoy (“Roy”). Willie Mae was born 24 Nov 1896, Ardmore, Indian Territory, died 14 April 1973, buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas. On 10 Nov 1915 at Fort Worth, TX, she married William Hugh Price, born 19 Nov 1894, Lafayette Co., AR, died 16 Feb 1970, buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas. Roy, born 19 April 1900, died 4 May 1983, Ft. Worth, TX, had no issue.

Willie Mae and William Hugh Price had five children, of which the first two died at birth, and the others besides one LIVING daughter were sons Hugh Kendall Price, born 1 Sep 1920, died 12 Aug 1978, at Venice, FL, and Lt Col. USMC Ret. Elbert Furman Price, born 30 Mar 1923, died 20 Aug 2006, the latter buried at Dallas-Fort Worth Veterans Cemetery. There are still living nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren of Willie Mae and William Hugh Price. [6]

Fourth child of Wilson and Lucy Hearne. Marcus, unmarried.

Fifth child, Narowna P., married William M. Hearne; children: Wilson B.. John P., Rachel E., Sallie E., Ethelred H., Lucilla B. and Rufus E.

All the above are of Wilson Co.. Tenn.. except my family - that is, Narowna P., who married William M. Hearne, and their genealogy is as follows: Narowna P. daughter of Rev. Wilson and Lucy Hearne. born July 7. 1825, died Oct. 31, 1877, at Lebanon, Tenn.; married William M. Hearne (son of Stephen Hill and Elizabeth (Harris) Hearne). who was born Aug. 14, 1824, died at Franklin, Tenn., Nov. 26, 1867. Children: John P., born July 23, 1849, married Fannie Waller, July, 1872. and after her death married Mary G. Scoby Feb. 18, 1877; he died Dec. 19, 1882, at Lebanon, Tenn.

Rachel E., born Dec. 1, 1851, married A. W. Proctor Sept. 20, 1883. Children: Elwynne B., born June 24, 1885; John S., born Mar. 4, 1890; Jenelle Porter, born July 31, 1892, White's Creek, Tenn.

Fourth child of Narowna and William M. Hearne, Sallie E., born Sept. 1, 1853; married G. R. Allen July 28, 1872, have one son, George R., born July 5, 1873, who is a promising young Methodist minister. After the death of her husband, G. R. Allen, Sallie E.

[1] Rachel D. Hearn: Please see federal census, 1850, District 11, Wilson Co., TN, living in household of father, Wilson Hearn, and his second wife, Elizabeth. Rachel’s age is shown as 27. She is shown with husband and child in the 1860 census mentioned in (2) below, living in a boardinghouse. Presumably Rachel died before 1865 when Henry remarried. Age is shown as 3, therefore born 1857; however, two subsequent censuses indicate 1860 birth. Also please see federal census 1870, Cusseta, Davis Co., TX, living with father, H. C. Irby, and his second wife, Martha Henderson. Sallie’s age is shown as 10. Please see federal census, 1880, Precinct #2, Lamar Co., TX, living with husband David L. Hopkins in the household of his father, Joslin (incorrectly interpreted as “Jossin”) Hopkins. Age is shown as 20. Presumably Sallie died before 1894 when David was remarried to Dora UNKNOWN, as reported in the 1900 census for Chickasau Township, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, with one child, Clarence of that later marriage.
