About Me

I've been interested and involved with genealogy for 25 years. Applying computers to genealogy is one of my favorite hobbies. I was the president of the Rochester Area PAF Users Group for 7 years. In 1996, I researched and wrote a book about my lines in SouthWest Virginia: Andrew Thompson of Wythe and Bland Counties, Virginia and Descendants. I wrote several special programs to automate the compilation of the book.

Brian Cragun Computers put food on our table and a roof over our heads. I work as a programmer for IBM Corporation. I specialize in user interfaces. I like to solve problems with software and this had led me to many patents.

My wife and I have five children. I volunteer in my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
