the Doctor has a large practice. A daughter, Mary Burnham, was born unto them Aug. 9, 1904.
Robt. S. Hearne, like his brother, Maj. Campbell S., is a staunch Democrat and takes an active part in politics, serving several terms in the Kentucky State Legislature. His son Harry T., died July 31, 1899.
Mary Catherine, daughter of Warren and Jane Hearne, married Edward Hearne Whittington Oct. 11, 1866; children: Mattie T., born Apr. 28, 1868; James S., born Jan. 17, 1871; and John C., born Dec. 11, 1874. Mattie T. Whittington died Sept. 4, 1893, and John C., died Aug. 22, 1893. James S. Whittington married Miss Mattie Eberhart Mar. 18, 1898, has one child, Allie May, born Mar. 6, 1899. They live at Hot Springs, Ark.
Isaac Hearne, another brother of Jacob of 1790, married and lived in Owen Co., and left descendants, but I have no account of them.
Andrew Hearne, youngest brother of Jacob of 1790, had two children; he died in Franklin Co., Ky.
Edward Hearne, brother of Jacob who came to Ky., 1790, married Vincincia Smith, and had two children, Margaret and Vincincia V., who married William Smith.
Margaret, daughter of Edward and Vincincia (Smith) Hearne, married Rev. Elijah Threlkeld, of Owen Co., Ky. Mr. Threlkeld was born Aug. 1, 1797, in Scott Co., Ky. He was an eminent minister in Baptist and died of pneumonia Jan. 22, 1861. Margaret Hearne, was his second wife, by whom he raised eleven children, ten of whom are known to have become Baptists.
Rev. Elijah Threlkeld married Margaret Hearn Mar. 14, 1826. She was born May 20, 1801, died Jan. 31, 1861. Their son, John Hawkins, born Feb. 10, 1827, married Malinda E. Hearn, who was born Feb. 11, 1832, and died Mar. 5, 1873.
John Hawkins Threlkeld was a minister in the Disciples Church, and died at his home in Owen Co., Ky., Sept. 2, 1903. Their children were: First, Mary Mag, born Dec. 15, 1851, married James M.
