Children: Charles M., Joshua E., Anna E., Lela, Celia, Charlotte, Mattie H., George, Grace, and Frances Myra. Annie, daughter of Burton, born Oct. 6, 1853, married John Whunden. Children: Grace O., John B., Charlotte, Clarence, Neta Mabel, and Benjamin Franklin.
William Williams, son of Josiah and Sarah Hearne, born Nov. 23, 1824; August, 1848, married Mary Nichols, who was born Dec., 1816, and they had two sons and one daughter, only one of whom survives, whose name is William Robert, born Nov. 18, 1851; married Florence Smoot, who was born Apr. 20, 1851. Children: William Edward, born July 21, 1873, and Mar. 26, 1894, married Annie Oren, who was born Feb. 13, 1874; they have one child, Charles Robert. The second son of William Robert Hearne, Daniel Archer, born Dec. 4, 1879. First daughter of William Robert and Florence Hearne, Mary Frances, born Jan. 1, 1876; second daughter Lucy, born Feb. 11, 1878; third daughter, Ava, born Jan. 5, 1887. Mary Frances Hearne married Dec. 8, 1898, Jasper Lee Thompson, and Lucy Hearne married Samuel C. Lecompte Dec. 6, 1905.
William Williams, son of Josiah and Sarah Hearne, married a second wife, Mrs Robertson, sister to his first wife, Jan. 3, 1860; she was born Jan. 25, 1820. Children: Henrietta, born Jan. 15, 1861; not married. Charles Baston, born June 19, 1863; Jan., 1886, married Elizabeth Price, who was born 1866. Children: Claude, born Jan. 10, 1888; and Laura, born Aug., 1889. The second wife of Wm. Williams Hearne died Aug. 24, 1895.
Josiah Samuel, son of Josiah and Sarah Hearne, born July 17, 1835; Feb. 26, 1856, married Margaret F. McKeever, who was born Oct. 12, 1837. Children: Sarah E., born Jan. 30, 1859; Margaret L., born Oct. 17, 1861; Manetta C., born Jan. 30, 1864; Mary S., born Jan. 5, 1866.
