Asbury Fletcher, son of Stephen and Jane (Ballard) Hearne, born Feb. 28, 1825, moved to Jackson Parish, La., 1856, died Nov. 21, 1883. He was a preacher in Methodist Protestant church. He inarried first Elizabeth Marshall, Nov. 4, 1847; second, Della Compton July 29, 1858. Children by his first wife: Thomas, born July 27, 1850; Stephen E., born Jan. 23, 1853. By second wife: George W., born May 14, 1859; John F., born Sept. 6, 1862; Emily C., born Jan. 23, 1866; William F., born Mar. 27, 1869.

Thomas, son of Ansbury Fletcher and Elizabeth (Marshall) Hearn, born July 27, 1850, moved to Texas in early manhood, married Mary Coon and has a family.

Stephen E., son of Ansbury Fletcher and Elizabeth (Marshall) Hearn, born in Georgia, came with his father to Louisiana 1857; married Martha R. Shell about 1876 or ‘7; died same year. He had one child, Eula, born Nov. 9, 1877, married James Austin 1893 and has several children.

George W., son of Ansbury Fletcher and Della (Compton) Hearn, married Mollie Choppell Dec. 24, 1879. Children: Jennie L., born Apr. 18, 1881; Jay A., born July 8, 1884; Docia B., born Sept. 17. 1892; Wilburn, born Jan. 30, 1897; Elton, born Feb. 6, 1899.

Jennie L., daughter of George W. and Mollie (Choppell) Hearn, married Lee E. Rogers Oct. 1, 1899. Children: Eldridge, born Sept. 7, 1901 ; Wilford, born Feb. 29, 1904.
