school education. At the age of eighteen he was placed at Laurel Academy, under Prof. Frost, for about three years, then entered Delaware College, taking a scientific course of three years. He read medicine, and 1873 entered Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, graduating there, after a three-years course. He then located in Bishopville, Md., and has lived there ever since, doing a successful practice. In 1876 he married Miss Lizzie Harper. Has two daughters, Marian Frances, born 1879, married Charles O. Elgin Apr. 27, 1904; Minnie Kate, born 1881. Dr. Hearne died Mar. 3, 1905.
Isaac N, Hearne is the eldest son of Wm. and Harriet (Dawson) Hearne. nee Wootten. William. the father of Isaac N.. died 1848. and his wife. Harriet, died 1890, having for long years been a faithful member of the Baptist Church. Isaac N., born near the old Lowder Hearne homestead in Delaware, Sept. 15, 1833. Married Miss Hayrnan, of Maryland. May 15, 1856; they are members of the Methodist Church and liberal contributors to its work and objects. Children: Olivia, born April i, 1857, married Alex. Parker. who recently died and left her with a son and daughter. Raymond and Helen; Cordelia J., born June 4, 1860, married Eli N. White; Mary E., born Sept. 8, 1862, married Robert Short: Isaac T., born Jan. 4, 1867, married Miss Jane Rodney and lives near Snow Hill, Md.; George Ernest. born Aug. 9, 1869, married Miss Hester Parker, and has one child. Georgia A. Isaac N. Hearne has been a most successful farmer, owning now several large farms in Delaware and Maryland, and served a term as judge of the Orphans Court in Wicomico Co., Md., and also as a member of the State House of Delegates in 1889. His Sons are both fine farmers, raising large crops of grain. fruit, etc. Isaac N, Hearne died near Snow Hill. Md., Mar. 13, 1905.
Isaac T. Hearne. Whitesville, Del., son of Benjamin and Phoebe (Wootten) Hearne, says:
My father was born Mar. 20. 1801, and had seven children: George W., Charlotte, Isaac T., Joseph W., Mary E.. James E., and John A. My father and mother were members of the Episcopal Church at Greenville near Levi Cannon’s farm, and sometimes of late years called Little Hill, where all of my grandfather’s family attended. My oldest brother, George W., married a Miss Gordon
