William H. Hearne died summer of 1905. His daughter Anna Swift, married Wm. J. Swink, Jan. 13, 1898. Children: Wm. J., born Jan. 20, 1899; Hearne, born Nov. 9, 1900; Frances, born July 19, 1902; and Sarah L., born Dec. 8, 1903; Caleb Walker, born 1906. Emma Norman Hearne married Charles F. Southerland, Oct. 7, 1903. Janie Walker Hearne married Leslie C. Pirie, 1905, a son Wm. Erwin was born Sept., 1906. Ethel Inez Hearne married Harris L. Horton 1906.

Elizabeth H., daughter of Ebenezer Hearne, born 1843, married James A. Crump of Davis Co., N. C., 1868. Children: Minnie, born 1870; Sarah Louise, born 1872; Samuel Brown, born 1874; and John, born 1876, died Sept. 21, 1900. James A. Crump, the father died Jan. 21, 1904. Mr. Crump was a farmer and lived twelve miles from Salisbury, N. C., on the bank of the Yadkin river, and his widow lives there now, 1906. Minnie Crump married Oct. 5, 1892, Dr. Wm. Edward Fitch and lives in Savannah, Ga., where the Doctor has a large practice. Children: Lucille, born Aug. 8, 1893; Elizabeth, born Aug. 4, 1895; and William Edwards, born Sept. 1, 1901. Dr. Fitch is the editor of Gaillards Southern Medicine, established 1866. He is author of the following works: "Genealogy of the Fitch Family in England and America", "Some Neglected History of North Carolina," and "A Romance of the State of Franklin."

Sarah Louise Crump married John C. Charles 1895. Children: James Wiseman, born Dec. 4, 1895; Mary Elizabeth, born Mar. 9, 1900; Marguerite, born Jan. 25, 1903; Louise Hearne, born Aug. 7, 1905. They live near the old Crump homestead, Davie Co., N. C., and Mr. Charles is engaged in the lumber business. Samuel B. Crump married Alma Wiseman Jan. 31, 1906. He is a practical electric engineer, and is successful in his chosen work. He also looks after the business at the old home, since his brother John's death.

Martha F., eighth child of Ebenezer and Louise Hearne, married Samuel J. Pemberton 1871. He is a lawyer, living in Albermarle. Children: Carrie A., born 1875; Henry F., born 1880; and Willie Jane, born 1884. Carrie A. married William A. Moneme of Washington,
