Children: Henry Lee, born in La., June 2, 1847; Fannie E., born Sept. 27, 1849; and Willie, born Apr., 1867. Charles Lewis, husband of Adeline M., joined the Presbyterian Church at sixteen years of age, and while a devoted member of that church till death, he was always charitable to other denominations and the poor; he died Oct. 22, 1881. His widow now lives in Hearne, Texas, and has all her life been a devoted member of the Methodist Church; she writes me that her son, Henry Lee, married a Baptist girl, who was a most lovely and devoted Christian, and Henry became a Baptist also, and is a most earnest and faithful member; she says her two daughters were educated at an Episcopal school, and both joined the Episcopal Church, and the daughter, Fannie E., now deceased, was possessed of a most beautiful Christian character. Henry Lee Lewis went to Texas 1852, and Jan. 10, 1872 married Miss Lillie Bolton, of Galveston, Texas. Children: Norma, born Mar. 16, 1879; Willie, born 1881; Hubert Lawrence, born 1883; Adeline, born 1887; and John Calvin, born 1889. Henry Lee Lewis was educated in England, and made a visit there during the season of 1894, with his daughter, Norma. His home is in Hearne, Texas, where he has an elegant and commodious residence; he is an extensive planter, and Aunt Rhoda Cox writes me that he is one of the smartest and best nephews she or anyone else has. His wife, Lillie, died July 24, 1892. Fannie E., daughter of Adeline M. and Charles Lewis, born Sept. 27, 1849, married Frank A. Glass 1871, died Mar. 9, 1889. Children: Charles Lewis and George Henry (twins), born July 21, 1872. Charles lives in Hearne, Texas, and is engaged in the hardware business; George lives in Sewanee, Tenn. Willie, daughter of Adeline M. and Charles Lewis, married Dr. Clifford Moreland, of Atlanta, Ga., and now lives at Forsythe, Ga. Children: Charles Fletcher, born Sept. 1, 1892; Henry, born Nov., 1894; Madaline, born Aug. 23, 1897, and Frances Eugenia, born Oct., 1903.
