S. married Jennie Bush, 1895, have one child. Bryant L. married Theresa Middleton 1897.

John, son of Drewry Hearn, born Feby. 2, 1816, in Edgefield District, South Carolina, 1841, he located in Ala., and 1851 removed to Bastrop, Texas, and 1853 married Miss Maria Gamble. He taught school for several years, and then was elected sheriff for several terms, and after that was county treasurer for fourteen years, resigning this last position on account of failing health, and with his noble wife lived a retired life, enjoying their fortune in their old age. He died Oct. 10, 1899.

Oliver, son of Drewry Hearn, born 1820, moved to Florida 1841. He was a man of great energy, and very prosperous, having a large property in negro slaves. After the Civil War he removed to Texas, and located near Brazos, where he had large herds of cattle, etc. Later he removed to Corpus Christi, and still later to Nueces, Texas, where he still lives. His children of whom I have learned are: Mattie Amelia, who married James K. Hipp, and have three children, Arthur Clarence, Ray Lee and Myrtle. Ella Sarah, married Oscar Barnes, and have two children, Percy Lyle and Ethel Mary. Maggie Florence, born Nov. 3, 1871; at the age of nineteen, married Eddie McGregor. and have two children, Earl Leon and Milus Lee. Fourth child of Oliver Hearn, Willie Clarence, born Jan. 11, 1875; married Miss Gertie Salt. Fifth child, Clara Annie. Sixth child, Marian Waller, Oliver Hearn, the father, died 1900.

Toliver, son of Drewry Hearn, born 1822, died 1900. In 1841 married Miss Polly Bolton, He was a farmer, and previous to the Civil War settled at Graniteville, Edgefield Co., South Carolina, where he had a remunerative position, that kept him out of the war, After the war he purchased a large body of land, on which he has mills and gins, and was a wealthy man in his old age. His son, Malon was killed at his post in the Confederate Army. He has other children and grandchildren, but I have been unable to learn definitely of them. Religiously, the family are Baptists.

Emeline, daughter of Drewry Hearne, born 1824, and 1872 married John Kenney and died 1892.

Jerusha, daughter of Drewry Hearne, born 1825, married John Goldman, who was a soldier in the Southern Army, and lost his life in the defense of his country. His widow is still living on their
