Granderson T. Hearne died in fall of 1896, and his daughter Missie soon after married James Bradley.
Susan Turner, daughter of Ebenezer and Betsy (Turner) Hearne, born Feb. 25, 1835; married Sutton E. Belcher, 1859. Children Orin H., Mattie. Elizabeth, and James. At the time of their marriage the husband was engaged in a prosperous mercantile business at Highland, Ky., owning property worth $25,000. He continued this business until all he bad was destroyed by fire or taken away by the Union army, tinder the orders of the officers in command. Thus was swept away all they possessed. He then removed to Wilson Co., Tenn., and from thence he moved to Arkadelphia, Ark.. where the wife and children reside, the husband having died a few years after their removal here. Mr. Belcher was an intelligent business man, kind to his family, and universally popular The whole family are members of the Methodist Church South and are constant in the performance of their religious duties. Mrs. Belcher is a woman of good sense and of unusually sound judgment and valuable experience in her domestic affairs. Her family, tied together in the bonds of love, is a model of purity, peace, and good will.
Orin H., son of Susan Hearn and Sutton Belcher, married Miss Willie Ezell Dec. 1898. Have one child, Charlie. The children of Mattie L. Belcher and W. H. Clements are: Suetta, Desda, Mattie, Willie, Suton, Robert, Hearne Jeanette and Bettie (twins) and Luella. Mattie L. wife of W. H. Clements, died Mar. 1902. Suetta Clements, married Frank Porter Dec. 22, 1904. He is a telegraph operator, living at Cotter, Ark.
Bettie Belcher, of Arkadelphia. Ark., says
