child, born Aug. 9, 1870. He was a farmer and stockman for several
years, but is now living in Frankfort, Ky., awning and operating
a large livery stable. On March 5, 1903, he married Miss
Florence Troutman, of Brannon, Ky., and they have a son born
June, 1906. Virginia Kirtley
, next child, born March 18, 1873.
She is a member of the Disciples Church and an active worker,
filling many important positions, and doing missionary work, sometimes

May 23, 1875, is a farmer.
America, wife of Joseph Hearne, died 1845, and 1847 he married Zerilda Dillon [1], of Lexington, Ky., and to them two children were born, Fannie Dillon and Joseph Clement, who both died at some eight or ten years of age, of diphtheria.
In early life Joseph Hearne
bought a farm adjoining his father
in Bourbon Co., and improved it handsomely, building one of the
first brick houses in that locality. On this farm there was the finest
grove of sugar maple trees I ever saw, from which large quantities
of sugar and syrup were made each season. He lived here till Mar.
1851 when be sold out and removed to a farm he bought near Lexington,
where he lived till his death, Feb. 14, 1864. He was a most
earnest and devoted member of the Episcopal Church all his life,
and at Lexington was a member of the church with Henry Clay,
and the rector, Rev. Berkley, who sprinkled Henry Clay, sprinkled
both his children.
The last child of Clement and Keziah Hearne was a daughter, born 1805; she was never named, as it was intended she should name herself when grown, but she died at the age of two and one-half years, and was buried at the first family burying ground, on the farm just back of the apple orchard by a patch of cane, and her grave is now unknown, as it was neglected. A grand child, a little daughter of Sally and Joseph Wasson, was buried at the same
