Gaines and went to Texas. Children: Charles Willie, Jonas, Wright, Frank and Ailene, John W. Wright marred Miss Fannie Ardrey. Children: Frank B., Annie A., John Ward, and Naomi Ruth. John Wright is a farmer living near Paris, Ky. Sallie Wright married T. K. Marsh and had two children James N. and Naomi. She married second time Richard P. Barnett, and lives near Paris. Mrs Naomi Wright died Feb. 10, 1900, of paralysis and rheumatism after a years illness. Like her mother she lived a noble Christian life.

Sally the third child of Mariah and John D. Ward, born 1832 or 1833, died, 1851.

Eveline R. C., fourth child of Mariah and John D. Ward, born in Leesburg, Oct 6, 1835, while she was quite young her father moved to Cynthiana, Ky., where she was reared and educated. Mav 23. 1854, she married James H. Moore, a prosperous young farmer of Scott Co.. Ky. Children: Fannie, Maude D., Clara, and Mary R. The two eldest were educated at Georgetown Female Seminary, and the others at Warrendale Seminary, Georgetown, Ky., Mary graduating at sixteen. Fannie married Henry C. Allen, a farmer of Macon Co., Ill., Jan. 4, 1881, and resided in that State until 1892, when they returned to Ky. to live, and now has a beautiful home in Scott Co., near Georgetown. She has one son, an only child, James Harvey Allen, born Feb. 9, 1884. Mary R. married Dr. James G. Orr, a Presbyterian minister of Covington, Ky. She is now a widow with three children, Harvey H., Mary G., and James Graham. They live in Covington, Ky. Clara, married Nov. 17, 1900, Joseph Giltner of Bourbon Co., Ky. After farming for many years, Mr. Moore removed with his family to Georgetown, where he now lives, engaged in the insurance business, The family are all Presbyterians.

JOSEPH HEARNE Photo of Joseph Hearne on page 450, seventh child of Clement and Keziah, born June 24, 1803, married America Kirtley children: Richard Kirtley, born Aug. 12, 1837, is a farmer and lives near Nashville, Barton Co., Mo.; has been married twice, and is now a widower with no children; is a member of the Disciples Church, a Democrat in politics; is very quiet and retiring in disposition and a most excellent man and citizen.
