"His excellent wife died some three years ago, so he has left a young and interesting family, composed of five sons and two daughters, henceforth to be destitute both of a father’s protection and solicitude and of a mother’s instruction and watchfulness. We ask in their behalf the prayers of the pious. May the God of their father and mother be their constant protector and early incline their youthful hearts to love and serve Him.
"The deceased has left a large circle of relatives and friends who
deeply mourn their loss, but they have good reason for believing that
their loss is his gain. Reader, ‘be ye also ready?’
