with his father to Monroe Co., Miss.; he was marfled
in Monroe Co., and from there removed to Chickasaw
Co., thence to Attala, Co., where he lived the remainder of

and was an honorable and useful citizen and member of society.
He belonged to the A. F. & A. M. and the Baptist Church. He

to Mississippi, but afterwards returned to the former State, and
died in Walker County at quite an advanced age; he was a well-to-do
planter prior to the war; he had been marriied three times.
The maternal grandfather died in South Carolina when Mrs.
Hearne was a small child; she is still living and resides at West
Point. Of a family of three Sons and six daughters born to her

He was married in 1871 to Miss Hattie, daughter of the Rev. Dr.
