BIRTH: Calculated from 1850 Wythe County Census (#444967), where she is
listed as age 20. Definately a child of Francis: bond at marriage was by
Francis, and she lived with Francis as a young widow.

MARRIAGE: Wythe County Marriages records John M. Wilson and Polly Thompson
married 17 Feb 1848. The bond was posted by Francis Thompson.

ASSUMPTIONS: Polly and her children are living with her parents in the
1850 census, it is very possible she is widowed. She was married in 1848, they
had Julia in 1848 and Thomas in 1849. Then, John seems to have disappeared by
1850. Thus I assume his death in 1848/1850.

DEATH: Alive for 1850 census

John M. Wilson

DEATH: Because Polly and her children are living with her parents in the 1850
census, it is most likely she is widowed. If so, it would put the death date of
John between 1848 when Thomas was fathered and the census in 1850.
